Art in the Park

Culture's Never Been So Much Fun

10:00 AM at Wirth Court Park (Length: 2hrs)

Madison Nonprofit Day presents ‘Art in the Park’— an exploration for kids and families of Madison’s arts and arts organizations. You can join us at Wirth Court Park on Madison’s east side for Art in the Park, a family-friendly event that will keep you and any young children entertained while introducing you to some of Madison’s nonprofits that provide amazing resources for arts, crafts, and performance to the city.

Music, storytelling, performance, and games and activities will be provided by Children’s Theatre of Madison, Hancock Center for Dance, ArtWorking, Madison Youth Choirs, Classical Revolution, WI Bluegrass Music, and more. Pssst… Heartland Farm Sanctuary will provide a small petting “Farm on Wheels” for their rescued goats (Clark & Diana) and sheep (Francisco & Bertram).

See full project page at Art in the Park.

Art in the Park is a fun and engaging introduction to some of Madison’s great arts organizations. Fun for the whole family, the two-hour event offers lots of opportunities for young children and their parents and caretakers.

We’ve got storytelling for the young kids, improv for all ages, fun and games, and even goats to pet.

Join Children’s Theatre Madison, Artworking, the Hancocl Center for Dance/Movement Therapy, Heartland Farm Sanctuary, Anarch City Theatre and more for two hours of sun* and fun.

The ‘Taste of Atwood’ Luncheon follows Art in the Park. Located next door at the Goodman Community Center, the luncheon is free and open to Madison Nonprofit Day participants.

Want to meet some of more of the rescued farm animals provided by the Heartland Farm Sanctuary? See: Petting Tour: Heartland Farm Sanctuary.
