Petting Tour of Heartland Farm Sanctuary

Charmed Care- Teach Kids to be Kind to Animals

01:00 PM at Verona, WI (Length: 1.5hrs)

“A child who learns to care for an animal, and treat it kindly and patiently, may get invaluable training in learning to treat people the same way.” Heartland Farm Sanctuary builds connections between animals and youth, providing a safe and enjoyable environment where children and youth can interact with farm animals to heal, grow, and have fun.

For Madison Nonprofit Day, Heartland Farm Sanctuary will open its doors to up to 10 families* (1 child or more, of at least 7 years of age) to come visit, relax, and have fun with Francis & Bertram (sheep), Clark & Diana (goats), ducks, pigs, llamas, and a number of other rescued farm animals looking for affection your child can provide.

Animals provide children the stimulus for learning, creativity, and caring. Teach your children to care and be kind to animals. Bring them on this tour of Heartland Farm Sanctuary, where they will have the opportunity to pet, play, learn, and laugh with farm animals. It’s also a perfect photo opportunity for parents and caregivers.

*This event has a limit on attendance of 20 people.

Special Instructions: The address of Heartland Farm Sanctuary is protected. Once you have RSVP’d for the event, please call (608) 241.3616. We will need the total number of people attending (example: 3- one adult, two kids- 7 & 10). We will then send a confirmation email with location and driving instructions. We apologize for the extra step in registration.

Heartland Farm Sanctuary, founded in 2009, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping homeless farm animals in Wisconsin, and building connections between animals and vulnerable youth. We created Heartland to provide a safe, peaceful environment where youth and farm animals could come together to heal, grow, and have fun.
