Eating Your Way Through the Urban Forest

Guided Tree Tour by Sean Gere, Gere Tree Care, Inc. (GTC)

01:30 PM at Yahara River (Length: 1.5hrs)

What’s an urban forest? Which parts are edible? Why are there so many maples in Madison? What trees love to host the prolific kiwi fruit? What little bug is going to take a big bite out of our city’s tree canopy? How can we beat the bug? Find out more: Join one of Sustainable Atwood’s favorite tree champions, Sean Gere, on a guided walking tour of the Atwood neighborhood’s urban forest. Meet 8/11/11 at 1pm at the mouth of the Yahara River (1:30-3 pm). Look for Sean in his blaze orange GTC vest. If you miss the start time, call/text 608-886-3379to find out where you can join us during the tour. Sponsored by Sustainable Atwood.
