What is philanthropy? Brent Hafele looks at the vital role of philanthropy in an age where technology is rapidly changing everything we do. This is not another message about how to raise thousands of dollars on Twitter, but an exploration into the fundamentals of what makes philanthropy possible.

Brent A. Hafele, M.A. is passionate about helping nonprofits raise more, work smarter, and optimize impact. In his consulting practice, NewDay Nonprofit Solutions, he partners with clients in times of growth, change, or challenge, to help them identify and achieve their next step. He provides counsel on a variety of nonprofit management aspects including fundraising, strategic planning, volunteer management, and board relations.

As a practitioner, Brent worked in the nonprofit sector for almost ten years serving as an executive director at the Chippewa Valley Free Clinic and a development director at a homeless shelter (Hope Gospel Mission). At the free clinic, he helped grow the number of current donors by over 450% in just four years. He has a Master’s Degree in Philanthropy and Development from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. He is a regular speaker at national, regional, and local conferences on nonprofit management. Brent resides in Eau Claire, WI, and with his wife, Jennifer; 2 1?2 year old son Evan; and a little one due in July. Learn more at www.linkedin.com/in/brenthafele.
